What types of decisions can be reviewed?
The available route depends on the authority involved, the nature of the decision and any applicable complaint or court deadline. We assess the decision, procedure and supporting record before advising on next steps.
Why are deadlines important?
Administrative complaints and court proceedings may be subject to strict time limits. Send us the decision in full and state when and how it was notified to you.
Can you take a case to the European Court of Human Rights?
Potential international proceedings require a separate assessment, including whether domestic remedies have been exhausted and whether admissibility requirements can be met. No application should be assumed to be admissible without review.
What should I include in an initial enquiry?
Provide a short chronology, the public body involved, copies of decisions and information about any complaint or proceedings already commenced.
