Can you assist an overseas investor or business?
We advise international clients on business matters connected with Iceland. Start by describing the proposed activity, the ownership structure and the intended transaction. We can then identify the legal work required and whether other professional advisers should be involved.
What should I prepare before contacting you?
A short description of the business or transaction is sufficient for an initial enquiry. Useful documents may include draft agreements, company information, ownership details and a proposed timetable. Do not send confidential transaction documents through the public contact form.
Can you review a contract before I sign?
We can assess the proposed terms, identify material obligations and risks, and advise on amendments or negotiation. The scope depends on the agreement and the jurisdictions involved. Please identify any signing deadline when making your enquiry.
How is the engagement scoped and priced?
We agree the scope of the assignment and the basis of our fees before work begins. For a transaction, the scope should identify the documents and issues to be reviewed and any work to be undertaken by accountants, tax advisers or foreign counsel.
